The Woman King
Obviously at the very top of our list.
The Woman King is a 2022 American historical film about the Agojie the all-female warrior unit that protected the West Africa kingdom of Dahomey during the 17th to 19th centuries. Set in the 1820s, the film stars Viola Davis as a general who trains the next generation of warriors to fight their enemies. It is directed by Gina Prince Bythewood and written by Dana Stevenes based on a story she wrote with Mario Bello The film also stars, Thuso Mbedu, Lashana Lynch, Sheila Atim and John Boyega.

This amazing Nollywood film features our very own talented musician and actress Tanasha Donna.
The movie premiered last week but is still on Cinemas this week at Prestige Cinemas 1 this Friday at 4pm
Avatar-Re release
The 2009 release is back in theatre and is still great. This classic is great now that a release date for Avatar 2 has been announced.
In the 22nd century, a paraplegic Marine is dispatched to the moon Pandora on a unique mission, but becomes torn between following orders and protecting an alien civilization.
