News anchor Trevor Ombija is trending on twitter this morning for a video clip of him circulated by MCA Robert Alai.
Alai has made it his mission to fight noise pollution from bars and restaurants situated around residential areas within his Kileleshwa locale. And as it turns out, Citizen TV anchor runs a restaurant on those ends.
During a meeting to iron out the issues between residents and business owners, Trevor, who owns the Samaki Samaki Seafood Restaurant, was recorded saying that he had offered to install soundproofing around one lady’s home but she never followed up on his offer. The video was shared by Alai and has ended up pissing off a lot of social media users this morning.
He doesn't even own the joint but is owned by the GIRLFRIEND (not wife) sitting next to him. https://t.co/ExYbxtUcBa

Trevor posted a more contextualized explanation on his own twitter, saying that the said lady has a personal vendetta against him. But the damage was already done.
“I have a neighbour who wanted us to shutdown because I did not give her a landscaping job. We reduced our volume completely all other neighbours were ok with our attempts, except her so I offered to go the extra mile of soundproofing as a last resort she still refused.”
The news anchor has since received backlash from KOTs after Kileleshwan MCA shared the video.
